Come see us and learn a skill on Wednesday, August 12 at Mary Rutan Park in Bellefontaine, Ohio. We will be at Shelter House #3 from 12:00 - 3:00!
We’ll be learning about Ancient and Improvised fishing techniques!

In our July 15th community class we will be learning about improvised and emergency shelter out in the woods! Come out to learn about tarp shelters, debris shelters, how to tie a handful of knots and more!
This Class will involve the following:
Knot Tying and Ridgelines
Knife Skills & Safe Edge Tool Use
Basic Carving & Whittling
Tarp Shelter Setups
And more!
Community Classes are open to all ages with parent/guardian, however since programming involves using sharp tools and basic carving techniques, we feel it is best suited for ages 10 and up. Participation is up to Parental Discretion.

Join us to learn about ancient fishing methods! We will be building hand-line fishing kits and practicing with them, talking about ancient hook types and styles, and taking a look at different ways to live catch fish and even hold them for later!
Join us on Wednesday, September 16th from 12:00 - 3:00 at the Kirkmont Center in Zanesfield, Ohio.
Have you ever asked yourself “What is fire?” That’s the question that we set out to answer in Ignis. This class will take you through the steps of preparing for and creating a fire using improvised methods that take you beyond the familiarity of matches and lighters.

We love sharing the outdoors with everyone who’s curious and wants to learn; but, we also understand that there are times when potential adventures are deferred by tight budgets. We don’t want money to be a reason for missing out on something we can offer; so, we’re offering “pay what you can” programming! What exactly is it and how does it work? Learn more below!

Get outside and have an adventure with us!
Central Ohio Outdoors & More is situated in the middle of many small towns and quiet little communities that are chock full of wonderful people looking for an adventure. Whether they just need a couple hours to get out of the house and stretch, or they need something to get the kid’s out to burn off some energy, someone is always looking for something fun and different to do to fill some time and break a stale routine.
We host a Local Community Class on a semi-regular basis in one of the small towns in our area. What makes these classes truly unique? The cost is whatever you are able to pay. They are exactly that. We bring the supplies, the knowledge, and the programming; you bring yourself and your kiddos. We all have an awesome couple of hours and you pay what you’re able. Money isn’t the point of these classes. We see a demand in our area, and this is our best idea of how we might be able to meet a need.
Each workshop will be between 2 and 3 hours in length and will cover a randomly selected topic related to bushcraft, survival, ancient skills, camping, and more. Come prepared to get dirty and get hands-on with the skills because learning is more fun when you’re part of the process!
Look for a Community Class in Logan County, and Hardin County with more locations to come in the future!
